AIA Portland is pleased to offer its popular FRED Does Lunch program, featuring one-hour continuing education classes over lunchtime. These classes are free for AIA members, provide one Learning Unit, and include lunch.

This course will go through the basics of color theory, and then delve into how to use this knowledge to apply to the built environment. You will learn about color in regards to light, scale, relationships and psychological effects. This valuable knowledge will aid in visualizing and specifying color for architectural projects.
Learning objectives:
- Describe the essential relationship between color and light in regards to the built environment.
- Analyze the psychological effects of color.
- Specify appropriate colors for the built environment.
- Build a harmonious palette with multiple materials.
